H. Michael Boyd, PhD, is an internationally recognized expert in the field of human resources with more than 25 years of corporate experience and professionally active as an educator, consultant, writer and speaker.

Boyd teaches at Bentley College and Cambridge College. He consults to a number of enterprises, from Fortune 100 companies to startups. He was the practice manager of the human resourcing strategies program at IDC, where he concentrated on critical workforce factors, including hiring, retaining, developing and managing. He was previously the corporate manager of technology education and the libraries at Quantum Corp., held a number of senior HR positions at Digital Equipment Corp., and served in HR and sales roles at Honeywell Inc., The Foxboro Company, GTE, Union Carbide Corp. and the US Army (Medical Corps).

He is president of the New England Chapter of the Employment Management Association. He was president and founder of the New England Personnel Network (NEPN), and served as president of the Norfolk County Personnel Association, executive committee member of the Electronics Industries Personnel Association, vice president of the Association of Human Resource Systems Professionals, chairman of the Massachusetts area public welfare advisory board and an arbitrator for the Industry/Agency Arbitration Committee.

In addition, Boyd is a member of the Northeast Human Resources Association, Society for Human Resource Management, American Society for Training and Development, the Human Resources Planning Society, the Human Resources Council and the American Sociological Association.
